Custom Catnip Toys
Custom Catnip Toys for Pet Brands and Distributors
Preeminent develops custom catnip toys in plush and textile constructions for pet brands, private-label buyers and distributors, coordinating commercial sourcing from China with a dedicated plush pet-toy factory. Product concepts can include mice, fish, kicker, pillow, ball and seasonal shapes, subject to design, availability, rights, quantity, sample and feasibility review.
As a catnip toy supplier, we help buyers compare product forms, materials and catnip containment; choose an unchanged wholesale, private-label, modified-design or fully custom option; and prepare packaging, quality and testing requirements before quotation. Send a reference product, drawing or design brief to start the sourcing review.
Product definition
Choose Shapes, Materials and Details for Custom Catnip Toys
Supported product directions include mice, fish, kicker toys, pillows, balls, seasonal shapes and buyer-requested special shapes. Each plush catnip toy concept is reviewed for shape, dimensions, construction, availability, design rights, quantity and sample requirements before development.
Outer fabric options can include short-pile plush, long-pile plush, fleece, corduroy, RPET fabric, Oxford fabric and canvas. Filling and accessory options can include PP cotton, crinkle material, bells, granular filling material, sound components, feathers and webbing. The final composition and attachment method depend on the design, sample, testing needs and destination market.
Fully custom work can also cover size, Pantone color, catnip type or amount, embroidery, printing, woven labels, hang tags and packaging. Review the form, materials, filling, accessories and branding as one product brief; not every option is suitable for every construction or current style. That brief becomes the basis for choosing a sourcing option, applying the correct MOQ and sample terms, and defining packaging and quality requirements. The final specification follows the buyer's product requirements because the same combination will not suit all plush catnip toys.

Catnip construction
Define the Catnip Fill and Pouch Construction
Depending on the design, catnip can be used as the only filling, added loose, packed separately inside the toy, placed in an internal pouch, supplied in a replaceable pouch or accessed through a refill opening. The chosen type, weight, containment and opening must be reviewed with the product construction, sewing method and sample.
A refillable design needs enough space and a suitable construction for the pouch or opening. These choices define the toy's construction. They do not establish the catnip's grade, freshness, potency or performance.

Fill weight
How should I specify the catnip filling?
State the preferred catnip weight, whether it should be loose or contained, and whether the toy needs a fixed internal pouch, replaceable pouch or refill opening. These details are reviewed with the design and sample.
Unchanged wholesale
Start With an Unchanged Existing Style
Choose this wholesale option when an available style works without product or branding changes. The MOQ is 100 pieces per SKU for an unchanged existing style, subject to the selected SKU, color, current availability and order details.
An existing-style sample typically takes 5-7 days, depending on SKU availability, sample quantity, filling, packaging and destination. The sample may be free of charge, but availability, sample quantity, freight, customs and other terms are reviewed separately.
Selected existing styles may be reviewed for mixed-style or mixed-color ordering, but each applicable SKU and color keeps its own minimum.

Private label
Add Private-Label Packaging or Hang Tags
Choose private label when an existing product can remain unchanged and the branding work is limited to supported packaging or hang tags. Shape, size, fabric, filling and construction changes belong to a different sourcing option.
The MOQ is 500 pieces per SKU for an existing style with a custom logo or label. The selected SKU, color, artwork, branding method, placement, sample and packaging must be reviewed together; a separate custom-packaging minimum may also apply.
A logo sample typically takes 10-15 days after the selected SKU, artwork, method, colors, position, setup and sample requirements are defined. Logo samples are charged, and the applicable charge may be credited against a later bulk order after the credit amount, eligibility and order terms are agreed.

Modified design
Modify an Existing Catnip Toy Design
Use this option when a current design is a workable base but its material, dimensions, construction, filling, accessory or branding details need to change. The MOQ is 1,000 pieces per SKU for a modified existing design, with color and design counting reviewed for the order.
Send the base design and mark the exact changes. Material compatibility, construction, attachment methods, artwork, sampling, testing, packaging and destination requirements determine whether the modification can proceed. Sample timing depends on the requested changes and sample requirements.

Fully custom development
Develop a Fully Custom Catnip Toy
Choose fully custom development when the product needs a new shape, dimensions, Pantone color, fabric, catnip or filling specification, accessories, embroidery, printing, woven label, hang tag, sound component or packaging. The design, artwork rights, construction, materials, testing needs and destination requirements are reviewed before sampling.
The MOQ is 1,000 pieces per design and SKU. A fully custom sample typically takes 20-30 days, depending on the design, dimensions, materials, filling, accessories, artwork, pattern work, revisions, testing, packaging and sample terms. Fully custom samples are charged, and the applicable charge may be credited against a later bulk order after the credit conditions are agreed.
Bulk production typically takes 30-40 days after sample approval and deposit receipt. The production period depends on the approved product, materials, filling, accessories, branding, packaging, testing, quantity, season and production details; it does not include freight, customs, transit or additional revision time.

Sourcing route FAQ
Compare the Four Routes Before You Brief the Product
Which sourcing option should I choose?
Choose an unchanged existing style for the lowest development effort; private label when packaging or a hang tag is enough; modification when a current design needs material or construction changes; and fully custom development for a new specification.
How are minimum quantities counted?
The reference minimums are 100 pieces per SKU for unchanged styles, 500 per SKU for logo or label work, 1,000 per SKU for modified designs, 1,000 per design and SKU for fully custom products, and 500 per SKU and packaging style for custom packaging. SKU, color, design and packaging-style minimums are counted separately where applicable.
How should sample and production timing be planned?
Existing-style samples typically take 5-7 days, logo samples 10-15 days and fully custom samples 20-30 days. Bulk production typically takes 30-40 days after sample approval and deposit receipt; freight, customs, transit and additional revision time are separate.

Prepare Packaging and Labels for Your Sales Channel
Packaging can be reviewed as OPP bags, hang cards, backing cards, hang tags, display boxes or gift boxes. Barcode, FNSKU, warning-label and buyer-specified label work can also be reviewed for the selected product.
The MOQ for custom packaging is 500 pieces per SKU and packaging style. This packaging minimum is separate from the product minimum and does not combine different packaging styles into one quantity.
Provide the SKU or design, packaging structure, dimensions, artwork, label content, quantity, sales channel and destination market. These details are needed to review print, placement and market requirements; no package or label format is presented as suitable for every market.
Quality & testing
Review Quality Checkpoints and Testing Requirements
Applicable quality checkpoints can include fabric inspection, comparison with the approved sample, filling inspection, sewing inspection, loose-thread inspection, logo inspection and packaging inspection. The actual inspection plan follows the selected product, approved sample, buyer specifications and order requirements.
For an applicable order, Preeminent can coordinate testing or compliance requirement review for EN71, relevant ASTM requirements, CPSIA or CE-related requirements. The exact framework, edition, provider, sample, timing and document scope depend on the selected product, destination market and buyer requirements; this does not establish catalog-wide certification or a guaranteed pass. CE-related requirements are reviewed for the product and market, and CE is not presented as a product test.

Can testing be coordinated for a destination market?
Yes. Start with the exact product, market and buyer requirement; the applicable framework, provider, sample, timing and document scope are then reviewed for that order. No result or certificate is assumed before that work is defined.
